The Industry Hangout forms part of the rebranded ShAFF Fringe in 2015. The Fringe is designed as a series of talks,meetings and workshops aimed primarily at industry professionals; the 2014 festival also included the Paul Diffley 60 minute masterclass. For 2015 the Fringe will feature a "Women in Adventure" Forum discussing how to increase women's participation both in front and behind the camera and a 2 hour forum on "Technology in Adventure Film Making and Photography". The forum on women in adventure is part of the overall theme for ShAFF 2015 with the Lowepro Women in Adventure Photo Exhibition, a special category in the Lowepro photo competition and the £500 BMC women's climbing film competition.

The Technology forum will cover everything from Equipment and techniques to legal aspects of using Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV), or drones, to specialised low light and high speed cameras, with contributions from Matt Pycroft and Ian Burton amongst others. The session will also cover in the field communication and power and will be a free event open to the public with professionals attending the Industry Hangout receiving priority invitations.

The 2015 photo exhibition will again be split over two floors with the mezzanine floor featuring images either by or of women. One of the highlights downstairs will be a single shot image of Stanage covering a whole wall from Dan Arkle. The Lowepro Single Shot Photo Competition opens for submissions on November 1st and closes on 1st February 2015 with £100 and a Lowepro pack for the winner and a matching prize for the best "Women in Adventure" photo. Submissions will be trimmed down to a shortlist of 6 by a panel of judges and a winner chosen by online vote and announced on March 1st. The Mezzanine floor will again host the kit sale, where people can bring their retired or no longer needed kit and sell it for a small commission.
