Introducing “Paths in the Outdoors” podcast, or pitopod, a platform to discuss journey’s and experiences around the outdoors. We will delve into what how people got started in the outdoors, where it has taken them physically and mentally. How it has shaped them and where they want it to take them. Whether it’s mountains, trails or water, we want to know how people get the most from their path.
Top graphic designer, Anna from Blunt Crayon conceived the logo from the concept of our idea. The brief was short but she nailed it, using bright and distinctive colours to make the logo stand out online.
The pod will be video based and published on our YouTube channel, it will also be published on podcast channels, Apple Podcasts and Spotify. The big news is we have been granted early adoption of video podcasts on Spotify! So you can watch them there too!
As much as possible the interviews will be done face to face as we feel this a better way to connect, however, sometimes it’s just not going to be possible and we will use Zoom.
We aim to release one every two weeks, there may be a break from time to time but we already have great guests lined up and plans for many more. We’re excited to hear their story and it’s our hope that by putting them on podcast platforms it will give everyone a much better opportunity to make time to listen to them, either on your walks, hikes or in the car.
Our previous interviews are available to listen to now on Spotify and Apple Podcasts, all future ones will be video on Spotify.
We have plans to have giveaways for our loyal listeners and other opportunities for people to get involved. MyOutdoors has always been a platform for our readers to participate in and pitopod will be no different. The pod is on Instagram and Twitter help us spread the word and share it whenever you can. Please like, share and comment, especially on Apple where it helps with the algorithm.
If there are any guests you want to hear from let us know and we will try our best to sit down with them.
Please enjoy listening to the interviews and we’d love to hear your thoughts.
