Among the runners is defending champion Simon Roberts and winner of the 2019 women’s race Lisa Watson, both aiming to be the first people to win the race for the second time.
Over the next six days, the runners will attempt to cover 380km of distance and 17,400m of ascent, including a long traverse of the Brecon Beacons for the first time, finishing in Cardiff Castle on Saturday 10 September.
